Karan is from Delhi and always took part in debates, acting and dancing in both school and college. After college he went to Imago acting school with Barry John. He did an audition for a show called India Calling on Star One in delhi for a role called Aditya but even though they loved him, he was too young for the role.

Then he came to Bombay and did a cameo role for a show called Remix for 4 months with Star One , called Aditya again. He had also done a lead show in Sahara called Saath Rahega Always, a college show and a show called Virrudh on Sony.
